OUR HISTORY

Wink's Body Shop is a family-owned, second-generation-run local body and auto service shop serving drivers throughout Ithaca, NY. Since 2003, our mission has been to best serve every customer, working with them to offer results that prioritize their safety and convenience.

Todd Winkleblack, our owner, has been in the collision repair industry for over 25 years. Much of his experience has been in working for and with local shops and individuals. After learning the business from top to bottom, Todd opened a shop of his own. From a small garage in Todd’s home to the body shop standing today, demand has grown, and Wink's Body Shop has expanded to a full team of professionals serving a loyal list of clients, new and old.

Since 2009, Wink's Body Shop has been at its current location, serving Ithaca, NY and the surrounding communities. While we continued to grow, Todd stepped back and passed the management operations on to his son, Todd Jr. Since then, our team and client base continue to expand.

OUR CURRENT STATUS

Today, Wink's Body Shop has grown to comfortably address all aspects of any collision repair, work with insurance companies and return any vehicle to its pre-accident condition. Our group of about eighteen employees works hard to keep up with changes in the industry, such as new methods and techniques to best assist our customers. 


Our operation maintains I-CAR gold certification. I-CAR is an independent, not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to ensuring the safety of all vehicle passengers while providing up-to-date training and resources to collision repair shops. We are among the 20% of repair shops that achieve this status. 


Many of our customers asked and encouraged us to expand our services. As requested in 2019, we started a service department. Now we can take care of all your vehicle's maintenance and mechanical auto repair needs.

OUR FACILITY AND TEAM

Our main office is a clean, comfortable area away from the noise of the auto body shop. With a receptionist to greet every customer, complimentary coffee, a waiting area and a separate bathroom, we want to make sure that every customer feels welcome and at ease for the duration of their service. Our office staff works to cater to every customer’s needs and demands with efficiency and care. We even accept walk-in customers!

Customer parking, including drop off and pickup, is right outside of our office. With a convenient drop box by the office door, customers can leave their keys outside of business hours. We have a separate gated parking lot for vehicles waiting for repairs or in the process or being repaired.

Every technician in our body department is equipped to repair every vehicle properly and will regularly undergo I-CAR Professional Development Programs to keep up with modern methods.

Each painting booth and the spraying equipment we have on hand ensures the best result and the safest environment for our employees and the ecosystem surrounding our shop.

This team is ready to take care of your vehicle's mechanical needs. Whether it is regular maintenance like oil changes and brakes or those unexpected mechanical problems.

We are here when you need us. We use high quality parts for every repair and follow your vehicle manufacturer recommendations. 

We will communicate with you what we see. Our biggest priority is you and your passenger's safety.
